A woman who appeared to be under the influence of the drug known as "the chemical" stood in the middle of the street in Pinar del Río and began to attack everyone who passed by her.
A video shared on Instagram by the user Felix Junior Baby shows a middle-aged woman hitting a motorcycle passenger. Then, without any fear, she stood in front of a truck and prevented it from moving for at least a few seconds.
Two agents from the Traffic Unit of the Police approached and started speaking to her, but she responded by shouting at them and lifting her dress.
Finally, the distraught woman climbed into the back of a Lada and only got out when the owner opened the door and forced her to. But before that, she smashed a carton of eggs that the driver had on the back seat.
When another police officer arrived and saw the wreckage inside the car, she put her hands on her head.
A user commented that all the "chemical" users usually gather at that corner.
However, others agreed that the woman's state of alienation could be due to mental health issues rather than drugs.
"He broke the egg carton of the guy with the Lada, with the prices being what they are, my God," expressed a user.
"The guy lost his temper, I’ll shove it right in his face," said a young man.
"Why doesn’t she just throw herself in front of a car? That’s just her audacity," expressed another woman.
Several forum users criticized the police's inaction regarding the incident, which could have led to an accident.
"That is a mental illness, and there are no pills for it, but the bigger problem is all the people laughing around her," questioned a mother.
"The question is: why don’t the police take her away? But then one comes and stands next to her and yells 'homeland and life,' and right then a police officer comes out from under the truck and they take him away," one assured.
"What I don't understand is that the police were there from the beginning of the video and they didn't do anything," another person said.
