Kennith Gonzalez, son of Cubans and new director of the Republican Party in New Jersey

She is 24 years old and studied Political Science at Seton Hall University. Her parents arrived in the United States during the 1994 migration wave

Kennith Gonzalez (New Jersey, 2000) is of Cuban descent and has been appointed, at the age of 24, as the executive director of the Republican Party in New Jersey. The appointment was announced on December 30, 2024, by the state committee of his political organization, and he officially took office on January 1, 2025.

Kennith Gonzalez, whose parents are from Havana and came to the United States during the migration wave of 1994, draws inspiration from Marco Rubio, the current Secretary of State in the Trump administration, who, like him, is also the son of Cubans.

In an interview with CiberCuba, Gonzalez explained that he joined the Republican Party in 2014, prior to Donald Trump's first electoral campaign, and since then he has had the support of his parents, who at that time were undecided Democrats and are now Republican voters supporting their only son.

Gonzalez is convinced that the Trump administration will not only restore progress and well-being to the United States, but has also brought hope to immigrants from Cuba, Venezuela, and Nicaragua. In the case of Cuba, he firmly believes that "our day is coming."

A graduate in Political Science from Seton Hall University in New Jersey, Kennith Gonzalez is working to transform his state, traditionally Democratic, into another Florida, where Republicans are voted in en masse.

He has actually been chosen as a liaison with the large Hispanic community residing in New Jersey, and his work will focus on garnering Latino support. To achieve this, he must convince voters that every vote matters. Thus, he faces the challenging task of mobilizing an electorate that he believes shares values such as family and religion with the Republican Party. He is confident that he can accomplish this because, as he asserts, while it is true that Americans enjoy living well, earning, and spending money, "Latinos enjoy it even more."

Gonzalez, like Marco Rubio, speaks Spanish perfectly. He learned it from his parents. He has never visited Cuba, but he is hopeful that he will be able to do so very soon, when the island is free. To reach that goal, he views the inclusion of the Cuban regime on the list of state sponsors of terrorism positively.

Right now, he wants to work in his home state, which is the house he knows, but he does not rule out pursuing a political career in Florida, where he has family and where there is a large Cuban community.
