On Tuesday morning, a truck overturned in front of a CUPET depot on the Central Highway, near Camagüey, exactly at the same spot where a similar accident occurred a few days ago, according to a report from the Facebook group Buses & Trucks Accidents.

At the time of the accident, the pavement was wet, as evidenced by a couple of photos shared by the witness who reported the traffic incident.

Although there was initially no information about the occupants of the vehicle or their health status, among the comments on one of the forums where the news of the accident was shared, an internet user who claimed to be a relative of those involved stated that they are okay.

"Thank God there are no injuries, the three people are fine, I am an immediate family member of those who were in the truck, and I was present the entire time. They only suffered some bruises. It was exactly like that, because the road was very slippery due to the heavy rains in the early morning," noted Bea Almanza.

In a second post, another family member added that at the time of the accident, there was a 14-year-old minor, the driver's assistant, and the driver in the truck, and reiterated that "they only suffered some bruises."

A user pointed out that "that little piece of the entrance to the CUPE is like soap"; while another stated that the site "is always covered in fuel and that makes the road slick and causes loss of control."

The stretch of road in question is considered dangerous by frequent drivers, although some warn that adhering to speed limits always reduces the risk of accidents.

"If they maintain the established speed, they are less likely to skid.", asserted another user.

Just two weeks ago, on Tuesday, February 12th, another truck overturned in the same spot.

Despite the dramatic accident, which was captured by a security camera in the area, there were thankfully no injuries reported in this instance, although there was material damage, according to a report on social media.

The released video shows that the vehicle was traveling on the road when it suddenly veered off the path and overturned.

The high frequency of accidents since the beginning of the year in that province has raised concerns among residents, who report the poor condition of the roads as a significant risk factor, in addition to the usual recklessness of many drivers.

However, regarding accidents involving trucks, several have been reported across the country in recent months.
