Through a campaign on the platform GoFundMe, the victim's loved ones are seeking to raise funds to give Campos “the burial he deserves,” the post states.

The initiative, organized by Ana Vega, remembers Yoendris as a hard-working man, devoted to his family, and beloved by his community.

The description states that his friends called him “Gaspacho” and that he was never involved in illegal activities. “He was just in the wrong place,” they lament.

The homicide occurred on Tuesday afternoon, around 3:00 p.m., in an apartment located in the block of 710 East 9th Street, near 7th Avenue.

According to reports from the Hialeah Police, Campos was shot by a neighbor, identified as Pedro Blanco, 55 years old, who was arrested at the scene and is facing first-degree murder charges.
