The U.S. showcases its air military might in Miami with a historic formation

The Hyundai Air & Sea Show 2025 in Miami featured a historic formation from the U.S. Global Strike Command, showcasing iconic bombers and elite fighter jets, honoring the Armed Forces on Memorial Day.

The sky over Miami witnessed an impressive display of unprecedented air power this weekend during the Hyundai Air & Sea Show, which coincided with the celebrations of Memorial Day in the United States.

For the first time, the U.S. Air Force Global Strike Command (AFGSC) showcased a joint aerial formation featuring three of its most iconic bombers: the stealthy B-2A Spirit, the speedy B-1B Lancer, and the legendary B-52H Stratofortress.

These impressive aircraft were escorted by elite fighter jets such as the F-22 Raptor, the F-15E Strike Eagle, the A-10 Warthog, and the F-16 Fighting Falcon, capturing the audience's attention with an unparalleled display of coordination and might.

The event, held annually on the beaches of South Beach, is free and is designed as a tribute to the men and women of the Armed Forces and U.S. emergency services. In addition to the aerial acrobatics, attendees enjoy technological demonstrations and displays of cutting-edge vehicles.

One of the highlights was the participation of the Bell Boeing V-22 Osprey, a hybrid aircraft between a helicopter and a plane, which performed spectacular maneuvers under the command of Marine Corps Captain Bryton Seyfert. “Flying this aircraft is incredible. There is nothing like it in the world,” the pilot told Local 10 News.

The 2025 edition marks the ninth consecutive year of the show in Miami Beach, solidifying its status as one of the largest military display events in the country. The best views were along streets 11 to 15, where thousands gathered to witness the "greatest air show on Earth."
